The county landfill near Hurlock

Dorchester County's municipal landfill is off Maryland Route 16, north of Hurlock. The county lists it as the Beulah Landfill, 6815 East New Market Ellwood Road, Hurlock, MD 21643. Free recycling drop-off in Hurlock

The county runs free, single-stream recycling bins for residents only, not businesses, so you don't need to sort. There's a set of bins in town at 200 Nealson Street, behind the Hurlock Police Department. More bins are at the Beulah Landfill, Golden Hill, the Secretary Transfer Station and Siding Road in Cambridge.

The bins take paper, cardboard, #1–#7 plastics, metal cans and glass. Keep these out of them: appliances, batteries, electrical cords, Christmas lights, garden hoses, plastic bags, polystyrene, tires, and wood or yard waste.

If you live inside Hurlock town limits, ask the Town of Hurlock about curbside trash and any seasonal cleanup events.
